Upcoming Street Closures
The 100 block of South Dargan Street will close from 1:30pm to 10:00pm for street festivals on the following dates:
  • Friday, August 30
  • Friday, September 27
  • Friday, October 11
  • Friday, October 18

Florence Rotary Club will have their annual 5K Run to End Alzheimers downtown on Saturday, August 17th. The run will begin in the 100 block of West Cheves Street and will end in the 100 block of S. Dargan Street at the James Allen Plaza.

The 200 block of S. Dargan Street will be closed for the annual Wilson High School Alumni Association Homecoming Block Party on Friday, October 4 from 1:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. On Saturday, October 5, the 200 block of W. Evans will be part of a rolling street closure for the Wilson High Alumni Parade.

 

Free Parking in Downtown Florence

Downtown Florence has over 2,500 FREE parking spaces for visitors and downtown business employees. Two free parking garages, surface lots, and on-street parking offer convenient, easy walking access to Downtown events, shops, restaurants, entertainment, and services.

There are a limited number of free charging stations located within the City of Florence parking garage located at 150 South Irby Street.

 

   

City of Florence Parking Garage 
Located at 150 S. Irby Street inside the Emerson Within walking distance to the FMU Performing Arts Center, Florence After Five, shops, and restaurants. Includes a limited number of free charging stations.

County Complex Surface Parking Lot
Located at 180 N. Irby Street within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the Florence County Judicial Center.

Florence County Parking Garage 
Located at 180 N. Irby Street behind the Florence County Complex; accessible via the drive on the north side of the Complex just before the railroad tracks. Includes 400 free parking spaces.

BTC Surface Parking Lot
Located at 164 E NB Baroody Street at Caboose Alley within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and Florence After Five.

N. Dargan Surface Parking Lot
Located adjacent to 170 N. Dargan Street One block from Hyatt Place Hotel and Hotel Florence. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and one block from Florence County Judicial Center.

Free On-street Parking
On-street parking is located in the following blocks:
• 200 block W. Evans
• 100 block W. Evans
• 100 block N. Dargan
• 200 block N. Dargan
• 100 block S. Dargan
• 100 block E. NB Baroody Street
